The air conditioning works were completed, and fully commissioned two weeks ahead of the required programme in order to assist the client through their period of locating into the existing and new spaces.

Due to the above and subsequent to the completion of the works the client has placed the order for the maintenance of the installed systems.

Project: Parklands 2A – 45,000 square foot office.
Client: Emerson Group
Main Contractors: P E Jones Contracts Limited
Consultant / Designer: Elmec Air Conditioning Limited
Scope of Works:
The building is a three-storey office which is in excess of 45,000 square feet. The building was originally heated by a LPHW heating system and wall mounted radiators. Elmec Air Conditioning carried out full surveys and analysis of the existing spaces to, produce a detailed design, which enabled a new VRF system to be installed and the existing heating system to be removed.
The works consisted of a VRF system, throughout the entire building, providing both heating and cooling in all usable spaces. The works were completed in an occupied environment with two floors remaining in occupancy by the existing tenant at, all times, whilst the other floor was being fitted out.
Due to the nature of the building structure, office locations, and cellularisation the installation was completed with over 120 predominantly ducted indoor units supplied and installed, and consisted of both local control and centralised control methods by the building manager.
After, the completion of the works we have been successful in obtaining the maintenance contract for the works.

The final element of the works was the specialist installation of an independent bar store cooling system which provided, full localised cooling for all the drinks to be served within the hotel bar areas.
